Pop goes the Erin

I, for one am glad that 2006 is almost over- and for my husband and I, it's going out with a bang! We are going into Boston tomorrow to see the Pops- and will be at the concert at midnight. Lots of swing music- and we are sitting at one of the floor tables so there will be dance floor space to dance! (Now I just have to get C drunk enough to dance with me!!!). And to make everything even better- we will be going with the marvalous S and her boy, D. Fun and good times!

I hope everyone has a safe new years and I will be back in -07!

So this is christmas....

In the car today, while watching my husband drive (it was fun- he hates christmas traffic), the song by John lennon came on (so this is christmas, war is over). It made me think- while I don't like to discuss politics frequently I do want to wish and hope that our armed forces overseas are able to come home and be with their families by next Christmas. I feel horribly for all the soldiers' families who have to celebrate such a meaningful and family rich holiday separated.

In case I don't get to write before Christmas, I would like to wish you all:

Peace, health, and love.

And on this night- a babe was born...

Wow- where did the last month go? Oh that's right a little over a week ago I had a nephew born! He is really cute- 8.6 lbs and 20" long! It was wonderful. Now my niece, C. has a beautiful baby brother (and so far she is doing pretty well dealing with it)! Just wanted to let everyone know (and to appologize for not writing in a long time!).
