Happier

Weekends. They never last long enough or come fast enough. Spent all week thinking:

1. DRAMA (especially at work) sucks the big one. I am so sick of dealing with the drama that seems to envelope my classroom- will it ever stop? Or do I have to leave? All I know is that my stomach can't take too much more of this (down 5 pounds- while good for my waistline, not good for my tooth enamel).

2. Why isn't it Friday yet?

So now that the weekend is here I have actually had quite the pleasant one- went out to dinner with my husband last night after working out at the health club. This morning my husband took the 6:30 am crazy time with the cat (when he cries and runs around the house- I think he is trying to convince us that wanting kids is a BAD idea)... so I got to actually sleep some. My husband is a good man. He actually even took me apple picking today (and we bought a pumpkin for our apartment. Yay! For dinner tonight I had a blast and got to see one of my best friends, R. and we went out for Thai food. I am so lucky that my husband and her get along so well! R.- we do need to meet the new man! We were insane and in the cool New England evening (I believe the thermometer we drove by on the way home said 48 degrees) we got icecream for dessert!

Tomorrow it is quilting time and time to do laundry. Ah the fun of weekends. And if I am lucky- I might even get to go grocery shopping! Joys! (Sarcam drips).

Just Another House Party

Wow- house guests for a week (and a pregnant one at that- congrats babe!). It was fun and great to hang out. Now back to the real world! (And it kind of sucks). The bank finally deposited a check I wrote my husband a year ago (and after a year, no I don't have money in my account). Luckily they refunded me the $280 of overdraft fees! Agggghhhh.

Oh a happier note, my students (for anyone who doesn't know I teach a very low functioning class of special education students) all won prizes at the Topsfield Fair! There were 5 4th place ribbons and one 2nd place. Unknown to me, not only do all the kids get ribbons but they will get cash prizes mailed to them! I am so proud of all of them!

Gotta go make dinner! I will write more later this week (after my sister's birthday!)
